Come Wander With Me Through Natural Learning

This time of year we tend to feel that tug toward classrooms, curriculum, new notebooks, new outfits and structured mornings… What are your desires for the coming Fall?  I invite you to wander with me for a while as you discover what fits your family.

Let’s begin with a walk – alone – in nature.  Find a mountain trail, a garden path a country lane or a sandy beach and give yourself the gift of time by yourself.  Let Mother Nature take the lead today – maybe jot down some of the notes she gives to you. Bask in the beauty of God’s creations. Put your toes in the water, smell the flowers, listen, meditate, talk to yourself….

Let a vision begin to unfold for you and your kiddos that puts a smile on your face.  If you want to take a good book along let me recommend “The Raft” by Jim LaMarche.  This is one of my all time favorite children’s books.  It wisely leads us to an understanding of Natural Learning.

Relax, rejuvenate, and dream of the possibilities.  Join me next week for our continued wanderings.  Until then…
