Good morning friends! I feel that I must share a fun thing with you that happened in our home-school study group this week. We decided to make our own restaurant. (And I’ve yet to see a child-created restaurant without rave reviews!!) I knew I was in for something impressive.
The kids started by designing some menus. Our lunch specials for today were Cuties oranges, string cheese, popcorn, apples and homemade bread. Our beverage was water.
Next we quickly received two volunteers to be our waiters and several volunteers to be our customers. It’s interesting how both were excited about their roles.
Taylor and Noel were phenomenal waiters who took great care to provide for our every need. We did leave them some pretty great tips when all was said and done!
Taylor’s mom emailed me later to share the following picture saying that Taylor went home that night and made this incredible Lego setup for his sisters. I love it!
For future assurance, may I note here that the following things were accomplished in our restaurant today.
Math 101
Writing 101
Entrepreneurship 101
Public Relations 101
Family togetherness and Smiles all around!
